hell no, i'd give lair a 7.5 max, which is a respectable score.
I love the hack n' slash genre and to me heavenly sword is a 9.0 the only thing holding it back is game length.
the only games i feel deserve a 10/10 this year that i own are bioshock and Uncharted.

I actually agree with the 8.5 given to ME, what did they give to bioshock? the game truly deserves a 10/10, but if they gave it a 9 or 9.5 then it's still a great score.
I'll say it again, PS3 owners should not pass on this game. TF 2 is fun, Portal is addictive and HL2 is one of the best FPS i've played. Almost rivals bioshock.
Do yourselves a favor and pick up this game, you won't regret it.

well, the 6+ hours i've played of ME so far have been more enjoyable than H3 for me. However, that isn't saying much since i was not impressed by halo 3 at all.
I respect popular mechanic's opinion, but mine is different and does not have ME @ #1 must have game this year.

this hands-on does not sound bad, IMHO.
seems like the good far outweighs the bad, just like Mass Effect, there are issues with FR drops, glitches, etc. but the game is good enough for most people to overlook the issues.
Orange box is an incredible value. If i hadn't already purchased it for 360, i would no doubt buy it for ps3.

If one game is to define next generation gaming, this is it! 360 had some great games this year. but UC is in a different league altogether.

It will be a great victory for Sony to only be outsold 2-1 this holiday season. Microsoft already released their big guns. who do you think will be outselling who 2-1 or better come next x-mas when both companies have their proven franchises available to all?
I went out and purchased this on 360 since i figured EA would have a hard time with this game and ps3.
depending on how bad the issues are, i recommend this game to anyone. It's got a great story, awesome gameplay, and good graphics.
I hope these "issues" are not major and don't affect gameplay.
Mass Effect has "issues" too, but i'm still enjoying the game for what it is and the issues were overlooked by most reviewers.

My 360 has been reliable, but it has damaged one of my discs and freezes in the middle of a game. Trust me, i'll take that over RROD any day. And my ps3 has frozen a few times as well.

i don't believe there are many "professional" reviewers left. Most seem to be extremely arrogant, with some sort of agenda or bias. I don't think we should take these people seriously until they prove they can review a game like a professional should.
